Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/4 c. unbleached flour

1/2 t. baking soda

1/2 t. salt

1/2 t. ground cinnamon

3/4 c. (1 1/2 stick) butter softened

1/2 c. sugar

1/2 c. brown sugar

1/2 c. peanut butter

1 egg

1 1/2 t. vanilla

2 c. (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate

1/2 to 3/4 c. chopped peanuts

Directions

preheat to 375

blend dry ingredients, set aside

beat butter,sugars, and peanut butter until creamy

beat in egg and vanilla

gradually mix in flour mixture (don't over mix)

stir in chocolate and nuts

drop on ungreased sheet

bake for 8-10 min.

edges should be set, center should be soft

let cool on sheet for 5 min.

transfer to wire rack.

I especially like the addition of cinnamon. Haven't had that in a peanut butter cookie before.
My grandson's going to give me his biggest puppy-eyes for as many as he can fit in both of his little hands! LOL!...but he'll only be allowed 1, maybe 2 depending on their size. His eyes are ALWAYS bigger than his little tummy. :)
