- chicken pieces, thigh and drumstick shopping list
- some leftover white white wine, about 1 cup shopping list
- some orange liqeur, about 1 cup shopping list
- chicken broth, about 1 cup shopping list
- tomatoe sauce with herbs, about 2 cups shopping list
- chunky tomatoes, 1 whole ! can shopping list
- sun-dried tomatoes, a handful shopping list
- black and green olives, about a small handful each shopping list
- red onions, 2 shopping list
- white onions, 2 shopping list
- red bell pepper, 1 large shopping list
- garlic, 2 cloves shopping list
- slivers of carrot, from 2 carrots shopping list
- liquefied honey, about 1 TBSP shopping list
- tomato puree, about 1 TBSP shopping list
- pepper shopping list
- salt shopping list
- some chili flakes, about 1 eggspoon shopping list
- olive oil, about 1 TBSP shopping list
- a bunch of italian herbs, cut right off the bushes on my terrace shopping list
How to make it
- fry chicken pieces in olive oil, rubbing some flavour sea-salt into chicken and some white pepper
- remove from pan
- fry onions chunks, and all vegetables,
- adding one after the other,
- garlic being the last,
- then add the herbs.
- pour in white wine and orange liqeur, flambé
- (burn off the alcohol, gives a better taste)
- now pour in sauce,puree, chunky tomatoes,
- stirring all the time
- add honey, olives,
- pepper, salt, chili flakes.
- stirr
- put chicken into pan, reduce heat,
- cover (to reduce spatters on the kitchen walls, the stove, etc.:-)
- before serving, remove cover to reduce the liquid.
- serve with whatever you like - i would use crusty italian bread
