How to make it

  • Melt butter in skillet
  • Add onions and stir to mix together.
  • Add 1/2 cup madeira and cover skillet
  • Cook over medium low heat until tender.(about 20 minutes)
  • Remove cover and let wine reduce to glaze
  • Stir in remaining madeira and chopped parsley.
  • Add salt and pepper
