I have been making these cookies for as long as I can remember and thought I needed to put the recipe in with the rest of them. These cookies melt in your mouth when they first come out of the oven. Just know that this recipe makes a big batch. =D

I didn't realized that the recipe called for baking soda and I used baking powder instead and it work out just fine. I also found that on my oven which is fairly new that I only had to cook the cookies for 5 to 6 minutes long and the cookies remained soft after they were cooled down. I also figured that the (t)stood for teaspoon.

Shandy, these were wonderful. I made a batch today and they turned out so soft & chewy. I didn't have enough chocolate chips so I also used some peanut butter chips. The family is all smiles. Thanks for a great post:o)
