I've been looking for that, "just right " choc. chip cookie recipe and These I'm sticking with, the only exception I made through trial and error with many many other cookie recipes is, I used 1/2 margerine and 1/2 Crisco to total the 1 1/2c. called for and bake 7 min. They turn out PERFECT every time and my husband is very picky on his cookies. Thanks so much Shandy for this great recipe!

this recipe is amazing! do not pass these up! just some helpful tips though. use margarine instead of butter it helps keep the cookies soft once they have cooled. and if you want to make sure they don't fall flat, make all the dough into round balls at once either in a big bowl or tupperware and PUT THEM IN THE FRIDGE! for at least half an hour to 45 minutes. it really helps them keep their shape so they won't fall flat. if you do this you must bake for a little longer. bake for 11-15 minutes until the high parts of the cookies are turning golden brown. I've been baking from scratch since I was 4 and these little tricks will ensure you have an amazing chewy cookie in the end. I promise! enjoy :)

I've been looking a long time for a soft and chewy cookie and this is it. are I didn't change anything, just followed the recipe to a T. I divided it into 2 batches once mixed. One batch with chocolate chips, and the second batch with dates and walnuts...YUMMY! They didn't last, my family loved them.

Just got done making my (your) cookies.. Have to admit I was a little skeptical at first because your directions say not to "grease" the baking sheet and I thought they might stick... Boy was I wrong. These are some of the best cookies I've ever had. Gave some to my family and they immediately asked for another. Heck, I even came back on here just to create an account and give you praise. One word describes these cookies: Delicious.

Amazing. I used 8oz of chocolate chips and 16oz of crushed up skor bars. Baked on broil for 6 mins and 15 seconds and let them let them sit for another 2mins on the pan before transferring them on a plate. Once cooled, the caramel pieces have a nice crunch in the super soft cookie. These cookies aren't really chewy. They are the melt in your mouth soft cookies. Delish! After all my years of baking cookies, this is my favourite recipe. Thank you! Btw, I made 45 cookies and have non left a cpl of hrs later.

amazing cookies!!! just finished making these. The recipe made 5 dozen cookies. Each batch I added different chips, the third batch I made was white chocolate chips with cranberry, almond, and coconut, my husband loved them. The kids on the other hand preferred the double chocolate with butterscotch. I'm taking half the load to my brother who's in unversity tonight I'm sure he's gonna love them all. Thanks for the recipe!!!!

I've been using this recipe to make cookies since I've found it...I love it, and so does everyone else. I always divide up my dough into a bunch of different bowls and add different mix-ins, though. This recipe is perfect for it! I've made cookies with M&Ms, peanut butter M&Ms, chocolate chips, peanut butter/butter scotch chips, toffee bits, white chocolate and macadamia...the possibilities are endless. Thanks so much for this perfect recipe!
