Are You Nuts Crackers Recipe

Ingredients
  • 48 rich rectangular crackers (such as Waverly or club)
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 2 teaspoons of pure vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups of chopped pistachios
  • 1 1/2 cup of slivered almonds, chopped

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil
  3. Line up the crackers close together on the pan.
  4. Bring butter and sugar to a boil gradually.
  5. Boil for five minutes.
  6. Remove from heat (careful it is like liquid napalm)
  7. Add vanilla, stir.
  8. Immediately pour over crackers as evenly as possiible.
  9. Sprinkle with nuts evenly as well too.
  10. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
  11. Remove, cool slightly and with a sharp knive cut between the rectangles.
  12. Keep in tightly covered tin, or can be frozen if needed.
  13. This are good for a late in the game time nibble, a little sweet something to keep your taste buds dancing.
