How to make it

  • In a skillet, add 1 of the teaspoons of olive oil
  • add onions and minced garlic,
  • and saute them ( onions and garlic.)
  • When the onions are transparent, add the ground beef,
  • cook until beef is browned,
  • drain off fat.
  • Add can of diced tomatoes,
  • season with salt and pepper to taste (using your own preference.)
  • In separate pot had the other teaspoon of olive oil into pot of boiling water,
  • then add wide egg noodles, cook as per pkg. instructions. Drain off liquid.
  • Add tomato juice to noodles,
  • then add the skillet ingredients. Stir just until mixed together.
  • Cook on medium heat for about 15 minutes.
  • Taste, if flavors haven't blended yet,
  • cook additonal 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Bake the frozen garlic bread or
  • Texas Toast as per pkg. ingredients.
  • Or just make your own if you prefer.
  • Personally its much easier to just use store bought for me.

I absolutely love goulash. It is one of my very favorite dishes from my childhood. Your recipe is a bit different from ours. I'm anxious to try yours soon.
