- 1 large red or green bell pepper, chopped shopping list
- 1 large onion, chopped shopping list
- 2 tomatoes, chopped shopping list
- 1 cup chopped celery shopping list
- 1 clove garlic, chopped shopping list
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley shopping list
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves shopping list
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 6 ounces smoked sausage, chopped shopping list
- 8 ounces chicken breast, skinned, boned and chopped shopping list
- 2 cups beef broth shopping list
- 1/2 pound cooked, shelled medium shrimp, halved lengthwise shopping list
- 1 cup cooked rice shopping list
How to make it
- In slow cooker, combine red bell pepper, onion, tomatoes, celery, garlic, parsley, thyme, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, smoked sausage, chicken and broth. Cover and cook on low for 10 hours.
- Increase temperature to high. Add shrimp and rice. Cover and cook for 30 minutes.
