Artichoke Appetizer from the Basil Garden

- 2 cans drained artichoke hearts (not marinated) or shopping list
- 2 boxes frozen (defrost and drain) shopping list
- 5 large cloves garlic shopping list
- 2 tablespoons flour shopping list
- kosher salt and peppermill pepper to taste shopping list
- 1/4 cup white drinking wine shopping list
- crusty Italian bread shopping list
- EVOO twice around saute pan shopping list
- 1 tablespoon capers shopping list
How to make it
- Heat pan on med heat
- when it's hot put sliced garlic in
- stir garlic until it softens
- season
- add wine
- stir
- slowly add flour to make a roux
- quickly add artichoke hearts
- stir until heated through
- add capers
- serve piping hot with bread to mop up the yummy sauce
- and with grated romano cheese on side
