Easy Semi-homemade Pierogies Recipe
Fun and easy alternative to the old-fashioned, labor intensive pierogie. Kids love this

Ingredients
  • 1 box of large or jumbo size pasta shells
  • 16 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 4 cups instant mashed potato flakes (plain or your favorite flavor)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Taco Sauce (we like Ortega Medium)

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Pam (butter) the bottom and sides of a 9x13 baking sheet.
  3. Cook and drain shells as per package directions.
  4. Make potatoes as per package directions for 12 servings.
  5. Stuff each shells with a heaping tbsp. of potato.
  6. Sprinkle with cheese.
  7. Bake at 350 until cheese is good and melted.
  8. Serve with taco sauce, marinara or whatever suits you!

Great idea! My son eats every pyrogy in every bag I buy, if I can make these, it will be much cheaper (and maybe the rest of us will get some!)
