Southern As Can Be Collards

- 1 bunch collard greens - rinsed, trimmed and chopped shopping list
- pack of country ham pieces or 2 ham hocks shopping list
- 2 (10.5 ounce) cans condensed chicken broth shopping list
- 12oz beer shopping list
- 12oz water shopping list
- 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar shopping list
- red pepper flakes to taste shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Place the collard greens and ham pieces in a large pot.
- Mix in the chicken broth, beer, water, and vinegar.
- Season with red pepper flakes, salt and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer 1 hour.
- Sprinkle with apple cider vinegar or dill pickle juice
