Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Thai Sweet Chili Sauce
  • a few drops of Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce
  • DRY CORN STARCH FOR BATTER

Directions
  1. 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  2. 1/4 cup Thai Sweet Chili Sauce
  3. a few drops of Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce
  4. Mix the above to make the sauce.
  5. 1 pound of shelled and deveined shrimp
  6. Dry cornstarch to coat the shrimp in
  7. Deep fat fry the shrimp until lighty brown.
  8. Drain on paper towel, put in a bowl and coat with
  9. the sauce.
  10. Serve in a lettuce lined bowl, top with
  11. chopped scallions. Enjoy!!!!!

Went to Bonefish last sunday. Will make the shrimp tonight. This recipe looks just the same.


Did the recipe last night. Very good although the shrimp were not as crunchy as the restaurant. Maybe they used "panko" instead of cornstarch... will make it again


To make it crunchier, dip the shrimp in cornstarch mixed with egg white and water...

Alterations


You may use a liquid batter for the shrimp for frying. I use the dry one so that it is less heavy.


Just went to Bonefish and try the bang bang shrimp. I tasted peanut butter, So I took the recipes above and added a teaspoon of peanut butter. I think its dead on>>>
