How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Spray 9-inch glass pie plate with cooking spray.
  • In large skillet, cook beef and onion until beef is browned,drain.
  • Stir in salt.
  • Spread in pie plate.
  • Sprinkle with cheese.
  • In small bowl, stir remaining ingredients until blended.
  • Pour into pie plate.
  • Bake about 25 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

    I think this recipe is from Bisquick. I made it years ago, and we enjoyed it. I posted a version that uses taco seasoning and whop biscuits, which is good, too.

    This sounds good - but what is bisquit mix? Never heard of it. Bet I'd never find it in this small country town but will look for it on line!

    Yup, this is a Bisquick recipe--old standby of ours. :) Real easy to change up the flavors by adding different cheeses or spices--taco seasoning and jack/cheddar is good. My picky kids will actually eat this one. ;)
