Ingredients
  • 3/4 lb. hamburger
  • 1 small head cabbage, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, finely sliced
  • 1/2 cup white rice, uncooked
  • 1 cup water
  • Olive oil
  • Gravy
  • 1 3/4 cup tomato juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 5 gingersnap cookies, crushed
  • 1/8 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp onion salt

Directions
  1. Bring water to boil and cook rice according to directions
  2. In large skillet brown hamburger, set aside
  3. In same skillet, add onion and cabbage and saute until tender
  4. Gravy
  5. Combine all ingredients and slowly bring to boil, stirring until gingersnaps have dissolved
  6. Add rice and sauce to hamburger mixture
  7. Cover and heat through
