How to make it

  • Soften yeast in warm water
  • Combine in mixing bowl:cottage cheese,sugar,onion butter,dill seed ,salt,soda,egg,and soften yeast.
  • Add flour to form a stiff dough,beating well,after each addition.
  • Cover and let rise in warm place until double in size.
  • Stir dough down
  • Turn into well greased 8" round casserole
  • Let rise in warm place until light, about 30 to 40 minutes
  • Bake in 375 degree oven,for about 30 to 40 minutes or until golden
  • brown.
  • Brush with soft butter and sprinkle with salt.
  • Enjoy

    This is the same as the recipe that we have been making for years - it is excellent and makes perfect toast with lots of butter and a great base for tuna sandwiches.
