Ingredients

How to make it

  • SAUTEE THE ONION WITH YOUR MEAT AND ABOUT ONE TABLESPOON OF OIL.
  • ADD THE GREEN BEANS (IF YOU ARE USING CAN GREEN BEANS, DRAIN THE WATER OFF AND ADD WATER TO THE CAN WHILE BEANS ARE STILL IN CAN, POUR THIS WATER OFF AND ADD MORE WATER, THIS GETS RID OF THE CANNED TASTE)
  • ADD 2 CUPS OF WATER
  • COOK ON A MEDIUM HEAT UNTIL TENDER FOR ABOUT 45 MINUTES TO AN HOUR, BRING TO A BOIL THEN BACK DOWN TO A MEDIUM HEAT
  • YOU CAN ALSO, ADD NEW POTATOES OR SMALL RED POTATOES

I love green beans now the difference is I smother it in oil ...yes I sure do. A little onion, bacon. Learned this years ago from a Deli cook and you'd be so surprise at how good they come out. MY DOG goes nuts for green beans. Well he doesn't eat dog food either....LOL

My grandmother would make them this way. I use to help her snap the green beans. This recipe takes me back to that time. Thank you.

I won't be in the kitchen without the Nature's Seasons! Love that stuff...I think it's the ground celery seed in there!

This reminds me that I CANNOT WAIT for green beans to come in. Nothing like a pot of fresh beans, some fat back and lots of good fresh pepper!

This is a great recipe. --Kn0x--

That's how I make mine, too, except I've never used Nature's Seasoning. I've got to try that.
