Southern Smothered Green Beans

- FRESH SNAP green beans OR 2 CANS OF green beans shopping list
- seasoning ( I USE NATURES seasoning) shopping list
- black pepper shopping list
- 1 LARGE yellow onion DICED (OR YOU CAN USE green onions) shopping list
- water shopping list
- SMOKED pork ( YOU CAN ALSO YOU ham, ham hocks OR A pork chop) shopping list
- I COOKED THESE FOR SUPPER TONIGHT AND TOOK A PICTURE TO SHARE WITH YOU. shopping list
How to make it
- SAUTEE THE ONION WITH YOUR MEAT AND ABOUT ONE TABLESPOON OF OIL.
- ADD THE GREEN BEANS (IF YOU ARE USING CAN GREEN BEANS, DRAIN THE WATER OFF AND ADD WATER TO THE CAN WHILE BEANS ARE STILL IN CAN, POUR THIS WATER OFF AND ADD MORE WATER, THIS GETS RID OF THE CANNED TASTE)
- ADD 2 CUPS OF WATER
- COOK ON A MEDIUM HEAT UNTIL TENDER FOR ABOUT 45 MINUTES TO AN HOUR, BRING TO A BOIL THEN BACK DOWN TO A MEDIUM HEAT
- YOU CAN ALSO, ADD NEW POTATOES OR SMALL RED POTATOES
