Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
  • Heat oil in skillet on medium-high heat
  • Once hot, fry potato slices until just golden then remove and set aside on paper towel
  • In medium bowl, mix together the beef, diced onion, garlic, fresh parsley, spices, lemon juice and 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • Press mix flat into 7x11 or medium sized baking dish
  • Place potato slices over meat, then tomato slices over potatoes and top with the sliced onion
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes, remove the aluminum foil and bake another 15 minutes
  • While Kifta is cooking, cook rice until tender
  • Cut Kifta into squares and serve over a bed of rice rice
