Hard Times Hamburger Casserole

- 1 lb ground chuck or sirloin shopping list
- 3 cups cooked fusilli, or bow-tie pasta (you can use more or less) shopping list
- 1 onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 bell pepper, chopped shopping list
- 3 celery stalks, chopped shopping list
- 1 28 oz can diced tomatoes shopping list
- 7 oz can tomato sauce or 1 cup V-8 (preferred) shopping list
- 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided shopping list
- 1 tsp oregano shopping list
- 1 tsp basil shopping list
- louisiana hot sauce shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Lightly brown meat and drain. Add veggies and continue cooking until wilted and meat is cooked through. Add tomatoes and sauce or V-8,
- Add oregano and basil
- Remove from heat and stir in 2 cups cheese and add pasta and adjust seasonings and add three or four dashes louisiana hot sauce.
- Place in casserole and bake with additonal cheese sprinkled on top until cheese is melted and casserole is bubbly.

A Family favorite. First meal I taught the kid to make, so she wouldn't have to resort to the Helper Meals. And this is one she can do before I get home from work, actually,two bonuses in one. I'll print your recipe so she won't forget. LOL
