Silver Spoon English Apple Pie

- 1/2 Cup butter (one quarter pound stick) shopping list
- 1/2 Cup brown sugar, packed shopping list
- 1 teaspn ground cinnamon shopping list
- 3 Tablspns water shopping list
- 1 Cup all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2 Cup pecans, chopped shopping list

- 4 large cooking apples, about 6 Cups when peeled and sliced shopping list
- 1/2 Cup granulated white sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspn ground cinnamon shopping list

- 2 oz. of caramel dip for apples, sold in produce dept, or any caramel ice cream topping shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- In medium size mixing bowl, stir butter and brown sugar together. (I melt the butter in the microwave.) Then stir in 1 t cinnamon and water, then the flour. Stir in the pecans.
- Mound apples in a 9 inch glass pie plate. Mix together the white sugar and 1 t cinnamon, sprinkle it over the apples. Spoon the pecan-flour mixture over apples in dollops.
- Bake 45 to 50 minutes, until apples are tender to a poke with a knife.
- Immediately out of the oven, drizzle on warmed caramel topping.
- Serve warm, topped with whipped cream or ice cream.
