Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • In medium size mixing bowl, stir butter and brown sugar together. (I melt the butter in the microwave.) Then stir in 1 t cinnamon and water, then the flour. Stir in the pecans.
  • Mound apples in a 9 inch glass pie plate. Mix together the white sugar and 1 t cinnamon, sprinkle it over the apples. Spoon the pecan-flour mixture over apples in dollops.
  • Bake 45 to 50 minutes, until apples are tender to a poke with a knife.
  • Immediately out of the oven, drizzle on warmed caramel topping.
  • Serve warm, topped with whipped cream or ice cream.

    I've made this pie for years ... It's perfect! Easy to make and make 2 because it will get eaten fast! But, instead of using just cinnamon ... I use the precombined apple pie spice. I also do not use the caramel topping.
