Ingredients
- CRUST: shopping list
- 1.5 c vanilla wafer crumbs shopping list
- 1/2 stick butter, softened shopping list
- TOPPING: shopping list
- 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened shopping list
- 3/4 c sugar shopping list
- 2 pkgs Dream Whip (mixed according to package directions, with vanilla and milk) shopping list
- 1 can Comstock cherry pie filling shopping list
How to make it
- CRUST
- Crush vanilla wafers inside large baggie with rooling pin, to make 1.5 c crumbs
- Mix wafer crumbs with butter by hand until thoroughly mixed
- Press into 13x9 glass dish and chill
- TOPPING
- Cream together cream cheese and sugar, set aside
- Mix dream whip in electric mixer according to package directions (will need milk and vanilla)
- Fold Dream Whip into cream cheese mixture
- Spread half on top of chilled crust
- Spoon cherry pie filling over cream cheese mixture
- Top with remaining chream cheese mixture.
- Chill overnight
- Crumble vanilla wafer crumbs over top just before serving
