Nutritious Bread for Breakfast

- 1 Cup sifted all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 Cup whole wheat flour shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 2 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 2/3 Cup nonfat dry milk powder shopping list
- 1/3 Cup wheat germ shopping list
- 1/2 Cup firmly packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1/4 Cup chopped walnuts shopping list
- 1/2 Cup unsalted dry roasted peanuts,chopped shopping list
- 1/2 Cup raisins shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1/2 Cup vegetable oil shopping list
- 1/2 Cup molasses shopping list
- 3/4 Cup orange juice shopping list
- 2 Medium-size bananas,mashed shopping list
- 1/3 Cup chopped dried apricots shopping list
How to make it
- Combine flours,salt,soda,baking powder,dry milk,wheat germ,sugar,nuts and raisins in a large bowl
- Blend throughly with pastry blender.
- Beat eggs with mixer until foamy,add oil,molasses,orange juice,and bananas beating after each addition.Add apricots,mix just to chop coarsely.
- Pour mixture into bowl with the dry ingredients.
- Stir just until all flour is moistened
- Pour into (2)- 7 3/8x3 5/8x2 1/4-Inch greased loaf pans
- Bake in a slow oven at 325 degree for 1 hour,until center is firm when pressed lightly with fingertip.
- Cool slightly in pan on rack,then remove from pan and cool completely
- When Cool,Wrap tightly and store over night to blend flavors,before eating.
- Note:May make muffins at 350 degree for 20 minutes baking
