Potted Cheese And Beer Spread Recipe

Keeps well and is tasty, tasty, tasty. Especially good on Ritz or Whole Wheat Ritz

Ingredients
- 3/4 lb cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/4 lb (one stick) butter
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 2/3 cup dark or amber beer
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Pinch of white pepper
- Pinch or two of cayenne pepper
Directions
- Place cheese, mustard and beer in bowl and press cheese down until it is covered by beer. Cover and let stand for one hour at room temperature.
- Cream butter in food processor or mixer. Add cheese, beer mixture and all other ingredients. Season to taste with additional pepper or salt, if desired.
- Pack into crocks or other bowls and refrigerate for up to two weeks. Serve at room temperature with crackers.
