Oreo Truffles

This is a recipe I picked up as an Army wife in Texas...It is always a crowd pleaser and is a nice change from the usual cookies or cake for entertaining. They also taste AMAZING dipped in white chocolate, and/or coated with whatever you're in the mood for. Read more Enjoy! See less
Ingredients
- 1 package Oreo cookies, divided (1 lb, 2 oz) shopping list
- 1 8 oz package Philadelphia cream cheese, softened shopping list
- 2 packages (8 oz. each) Bakers semisweet baking chocolate, melted shopping list
How to make it
- Crush 9 of the cookies (using a food processor or a zip-lock bag and rolling pin) to fine crumbs and set aside to use later.
- In a medium bowl, crush the remaining cookies to fine crumbs.
- Add softened cream cheese and mix until well blended.
- Roll cookie mixture into about 45 balls, 1 inch in diameter.
- Dip balls in chocolate and place on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper.
- Sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs.
- Refrigerate for about an hour.
- Enjoy!
- **You can also roll these more like logs and slice them before serving**
