This really,really works! I had an entire ink pen explode on my sofa. The stain was about the size of a golf ball. Maybe a little larger. I used a lot of hairspray and was very patient. I would spray then blot. It all came out.

Rubbing alcohol is really good for removing ink also. i had a printer ink cartridge leak a large puddle on a white shelf in my closet. i didnt find it til after it had tried and set awhile. i poured some rubbing alcohol on a paper towel and just wiped it all away. i do this at work with ink stamps as well (teacher). works well for removing sticky stuff like stickers and labels also.
