How to make it

  • Slice the beef, green peppers and onions into thin strips, approx. all the same size
  • In a large frying pan with lid, heat the oil and cook the beef strips, uncovered, until browned
  • Pour out most of the oil and add vegetables.
  • Cook on low heat while mixing the water, flour, salt, pepper and soy sauce in a separate bowl (use a whisk to avoid lumps)
  • Mix until smooth and pour into frying pan.
  • Stir with wooden spoon to evenly distribute beef, vegs and sauce
  • Cover and simmer on low heat for 35 minutes or until sauce thickens and vegs are cooked to tenderness
  • Serve over cooked rice
