Bread Pudding With Citrus Sauce

- 1- loaf raisin bread cubed shopping list
- 3 cups hot milk shopping list
- 1-15 oz. can apple sauce shopping list
- ¼ tsp salt shopping list
- 4 TBS melted butter shopping list
- ½ cup sugar shopping list
- ½ tsp nutmeg shopping list
- 3 eggs beaten shopping list
- 1tsp vanilla extract shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350. Butter a 2 quart casserole dish and set aside. Place bread cubes in a mixing bowl, add milk, stir and set aside until cooled. To bread mixture add remaining ingredients until blended. Pour in to casserole dish and place in oven for 30-40 min or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool pudding for about 20 min. Scoop onto serving dish and spoon Citrus sauce over and ENJOY!
- FOR SAUCE:
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 Tbs cornstarch
- ½ stick butter melted
- ½ cup orange juice
- ½ tsp brandy extract
- ½ tsp pineapple extract
- In a small bowl mix cornstarch and sugar and set aside. In a small saucepan over a medium heat place sugar and cornstarch mixture, butter and orange juice, then whisk until blended. Cook until sauce thickens or coats the back of a spoon. Turn off the heat and stir in extracts. Spoon over pudding.
