- 1/2 c uncooked quinoa shopping list
- 1 c water shopping list
- 1/2 t cinnamon shopping list
- pinch salt shopping list
- 1/2 c low fat milk or soy milk shopping list
- 1 apple, diced shopping list
- 1/2 c blueberries shopping list
- 2 T chopped nuts shopping list
How to make it
- In a saucepan combine quinoa, cinnamon, salt and water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes or till most of the water has been absorbed.
- Add milk and simmer uncovered for an additional 10 min.
- Stir in apples, berries and nuts. Cover and let stand 10 minutes before serving.

- *Note: be sure to throughly rinse quinoa before using, rinse until there's no foam. Quinoa has a natural coating that's bitter and unpleasant tasting and needs rinsing before cooking**
