Almond "flour" is made out of ground almonds. If you like almonds, this is a great product to use in any cookie recipe. It adds a chewy consistency to any cookie and is healthier to use the regular flour. You can find it in most big markets and all health food stores. Its amazing as a base for cheesecakes, too!

What a wonderful variation on the layer bar, Annie - I love pistachios, and I know this is going to be a hit! And I've never tried almond flour - this is my excuse to go buy some! Thank you...Krum
