Caramel Pecan Pie

- Pastry for 1 crust 9-inch pie shopping list
- 36 KRAFT caramels shopping list
- 1/4 cup margarine shopping list
- 1/4 cup water shopping list
- 3/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 3 eggs, beaten shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 cup pecan halves shopping list
How to make it
- On a lightly floured surface, roll pastry to 12-inch circle
- Place in a 9-inch pie plate
- Turn under edge, flute.
- Unwrap caramels and melt with margarine & water in heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently until smooth.
- Gradually add to combined sugar, eggs, vanilla and salt; mix well
- Stir in pecans; pour into pastry shell
- Bake at 350 degrees, 45 to 50 minutes or until pastry is golden brown.
- Cool - Filling appears soft, but will firm as it cools
- Top with whipped cream or have some ice cream!
