1970 Southern Living Recipe. This cake starts in a cold oven, and it cooks for 1-1/2 hours. While it is hot, a pineapple glaze is poured over the cake. It is scrumptious.

Printed out to make. I like unusual recipes and this qualifies by starting with a cold oven. Kinda like the recipe I did where it required pouring water on the cobbler after cooking! Cool, thanks for the post. Pictures and prints at 11. JJ

OMG, I LOVE this site! I had the Southern Living CAKES cookbook (lost it or loaned it out/never got it back...something!) and this was a favorite recipe (right up there with the Cream Cheese Pound Cake).
Delicious & moist; also qualifies as a Pina Colada Cake if you mix coconut & a splash of rum to the glaze, and some cherries as garnish.
