Ingredients

How to make it

  • M ix all ingredients in a small sauce pan over low heat until the margarine is melted
  • Fry 1/2 of the wings in a dutch oven with oil about 4 inches high and oil at 375 for 12 to 15 minutes
  • Drain the wings on paper towel
  • Repeat with remaining wings
  • Place in large bowl with lid
  • Pour sauce over wings
  • Cover the bowl and shake to completely coat the wings.
  • To make wings more crunchy, I put under broiler for a few minutes but no need to
  • Serve with carrot, celery sticks, and Blue Cheese Dressing and cold beer

Great recipe, I too have been to the Anchor bar and had the wings. these are spot on in flavor.Just think Theresa made up the wing recipe on a late night when her son and his buddies came in to the bar with the munchies.Just goes to show that an imaginative cook can come up with a winner when you are willing to improvise. thanks for the recipe.

I've actually been to the Anchor Bar in Buffalo and their wings are SO awesome. I can't wait to try these at home and icy cold beer always hits the spot. Thanks, m'dear - I now have another mission in life...to make these wings. Woo hoo!
