I often shy away from roasting garlic because of all the wasted energy of heating the oven or toaster oven just to roast a couple bulbs. This is the ideal solution and can be done during the day to be ready to use at dinner!

This does sound easier! I have one of those small dip pots wonder if that would work?

I'm not sure if a dip pot would work- I have one too, but I'll admit I've never used it. I don't think they get to the same temperature that the big ones do. Only one way to know though!

I tried the dip pot last evening. I had it on for four hours and it was great. Talk about saving energy! Great thing to try on earth day.
