Crockpot Roasted Garlic

I often shy away from roasting garlic because of all the wasted energy of heating the oven or toaster oven just to roast a couple bulbs. This is the ideal solution and can be done during the day to be ready to use at dinner!
Ingredients
- 4 bulbs garlic, or one elephant garlic shopping list
- olive oil shopping list
- Tin foil shopping list
How to make it
- Arrange the garlic in a sheet of tin foil. Do not peel or trim.
- Drizzle olive oil into the cracks of the bulbs.
- Loosely wrap foil into a bundle.
- Place in crockpot and cook on low for 7-8 hours. Use in soups, stews, mashed potatoes or pasta. Spread on bruscetta, add to salad dressing.

I tried the dip pot last evening. I had it on for four hours and it was great. Talk about saving energy! Great thing to try on earth day.
I did cut the tops off, did not peel, did not wrap in foil and drizzeled the ole evoo...Iv'e been eating ...more raelene1951
