Ingredients

Two pounds of Butternut Squash peeled and seeds removed, cut up into 2 inch pieces.

1 cup of dried figs

1-cup raisins

1-tablespoon sea salt

1 ½ teaspoons of cinnamon

3 Tablespoons of brown sugar

½-teaspoon ground cloves

4 tablespoons of unsalted sweet butter

Directions

Place the squash into a large pot and cover with water.

Add the sea salt and bring to a boil

In the mean time place the figs and the raisins into a small pot and cover with water and cover.

Bring it to a boil for 30 minutes.

Place the cooked figs and raisins into a food blender and add 1 cup of the cooking liquid and blend until smooth, thin out with more water if necessary, and blend until it is smooth as velvet.

Drain squash, add the butter, Brown sugar and add salt to taste.

Plate a scoop of squash and few tablespoons of the Fig and raisin sauce or more if you want along one side.
