How to make it

  • For crust mix together crumbs and melted butter and press into a 9'' springform pan. Set aside. FILLING: Melt chocolate with butter over simmering water, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat. In a medium bowl beat egg yolks with coffee and icing sugar until fluffy.
  • Slowly pour in melted chocolate and mix well.
  • In a small bowl beat egg whites until stiff, then fold into chocolate mixture. Pour over crust and freeze (about 2 hours) Spread ice cream evenly over chocolate layer. Freeze until firm. Unmould.
  • TOPPING: Melt chocolate with butter and corn syrup and pour over top and down sides of torte. Freezre for several hours or overnight.
  • Garnish with whipped cream and mini oreos. When ready to serve, carefully slice with a hot knife.
