How to make it

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, gently warm the olive oil with the onion, walnuts, olives, and garlic.
  • Do not bring the oil to a boil.
  • Remove from the heat and cool for a moment.
  • Place the blue cheese in an attractive serving bowl, then pour the warm oil mixture over the cheese and stir gently.
  • Add pepper to taste, then let the mixture cool to room temperature. To serve, spread on bread.
  • Serve the grapes on a platter alongside the spread.
  • Guests are always shocked at how delightfully the grapes omplement the spread.
  • *** To toast the walnuts, spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet and toast in a 350 degree oven until lightly golden, about 4 minutes.
