Since I live in China it doesn't surprise me too much. One thing for sure, I learned the Chinese will eat anything! Kind of makes me think of the "Sticky Rice dumpling" I brought from a street vendor last week?! Yikes!

I don't know why someone would give you a 1 rating. Some people have no sense of humor and no imagination....oh well. Instead of frying, I would put them on skewers and grill them. :)

Lots of supplies in Cairo for this dish. Bangkok is even more plentiful.

I see rats all the time because they are in the cow pasture next to our yard.

You're on a real roll here; definitely caught my attention. Do you have any recipes for tongue. My husband always says he would never eat tongue...he wouldn't want to eat something that could taste him back!

As long as I don't have to decide between buying food or electricity, I'll let my cats continue to enjoy eating rats. I read about some South Americans raising their own guinea pigs to eat, and would consider eating that before wild-caught rats just because I'd know how they were raised and what they were exposed to.

ARGH!!! If I could draw a pic for you I'm sure it would express 1,000 words pertaining how I feel right now LOL This is too much but I know from personal globe trotting that it does exist. A cousin of mine was served snake and something in a monkey's skull in China. She couldn't take it and tossed her cookies!!! I think I'll pass on this one but I'm giving you a 5 for originality ;)
Cheers!!!

You cought my attention...not something I will go out of my way to fix. I went to a party in the Philippines where the first question asked of me was; "Do you eat dog?" If you can get the image out of your head of someone chasing your golden retriever down the street with a club… it’s not bad.
