From pleasantvalleycabins 15 years agoIngredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 2 tablespoons dried minced onion, soaked in a little water shopping list
- 2 tablespoons milk shopping list
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 2 packages dinner rolls from the bread aisle (the recipe will make about 1 1/2 dozen) shopping list
- American cheese slices, folded to make 4 pieces per slice shopping list
- hamburger dill slices shopping list
How to make it
- Pour the excess water off the onion
- Mix ground beef, egg, onion, milk, Worcestershire sauce, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper.
- Split dinner rolls in half
- Spread the mixture fairly thin on each half of roll
- Place meat side down into a skillet over medium heat, filling the entire skillet. (You'll have 2 skillets or 2 batches)
- Cook about 3-4 minutes uncovered, 3-4 minutes covered.
- Remove the cooked rolls from the skillet, placing them on a plate with the meat side up. Using the bottom half, place a piece of cheese on the meat and then the pickle. Add ketchup or mustard here, if you want either or both. Now place both sides back together. Follow this procedure with the remaining rolls.

Now you're talking...as a teenager and young adult, every kegger ended with a run to White Castle. We used to believe that those tiny burgers would absorb the alcohol in our systems so our parents wouldn't catch on. thanks for the memory!
