How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • Cream butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add eggs and extracts.
  • Mix in the dry ingredients.
  • Knead the dough on a floured board or worktop until soft and pliable.
  • Divide dough into 10 balls.
  • Roll each ball like a thick sausage and place 5 inch sausages on a greased cookie sheet.
  • Flatten bottom by pressing down gently, but keep crescent shape on top.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and cut diagonally.
  • Turn cookies to bake on sides for another 5 minutes.
  • Let cool and store in tins.
  • Enjoy!

    I just adore biscotti. I make these but I add toasted unsalted pistachios to them which adds color and a little extra flavor.

    got to try these - I love biscotti - though I never made them (always had the now ex mother in law make them - way back when..) I guess I could learn how to make them now since a decade and half has gone by... yours sounds delicious!
