I have not tried this one but it sure sounds good. I have heard that plantains that have turned mostly black are perfect for frying.

I love tostones...my mom and grandma make them all the time. I've tried twice and both times failed! =( I think I didn't fry them enough the first time around. Hey where is your town on the island?
