Easy Tostones Fried Plantains with Garlic

- 3 plantains shopping list
- 2 teaspoons salt shopping list
- water shopping list
- canola oil for frying shopping list
- 1 sm jar chrushed garlic shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
How to make it
- Peal the plantains
- Cut crosswise in slices about 1/2 inch wide
- Slant the knife while cutting so slices will have an oval shape.
- Place in salted water for 1 hour
- Drain
- Fry until plantain is tender 3min on each side
- but not crusty
- Remove from oil flatten by pressing eavenly ,
- dip in salted waterand fry again until crusty.
- drain on absorbent paper
- mix 2 tsp garlic with salt and spread small ammounts over hot tostones
- Now crunch Awayyyyyyyy !!!!

I have not tried this one but it sure sounds good. I have heard that plantains that have turned mostly black are perfect for frying.
