BLACK BOTTOM BANANA CREAM PIE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Roark Estate in Grand Prairie, Texas in 1984.

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 squares semisweet chocolate
  • 1 pie crust
  • 2 small bananas sliced
  • 1 small package instant vanilla pudding and pie filling
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • Whipped topping for garnish

Directions
  1. In small saucepan over low heat melt butter and chocolate stirring until smooth.
  2. Spread evenly over bottom of crust then arrange banana slices over chocolate and set aside.
  3. Prepare pudding according to package directions for pie using milk then pour over bananas.
  4. Chill at least 1 hour then garnish with whipped topping.
