Ingredients
  • Filling:
  • 2/3 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion (or more)
  • 2/3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • ________________________
  • 3 c. chicken broth, 2- 14 0z. cans (or water)
  • 1 1/3 c. milk
  • ________________________
  • 3-6 c. cooked shredded chicken (or turkey)
  • 4-5 c. frozen mixed veg., thawed
  • ________________________
  • Crust topping:
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 c. biscuit mix

Directions
  1. Preheat:400* (in: 9x13" pan for: 40-50 mins.-or until golden brown)
  2. In saucepan cook onion in butter until tender.
  3. Stir in flour, salt and pepper until blended.
  4. While stirring with a whip, add chicken broth and milk.
  5. Stir and cook over medium until thickened and bubbly.
  6. Cook and stir 2 minutes more.
  7. Place mixed vegetables and meat in 9x13" pan.
  8. Pour white sauce mixture evenly over veg. and meat.
  9. Crust topping: Combine until just moistened.
  10. Pour over veg./meat mixture.
  11. Bake 400* 40-50 mins., or until golden brown
