Simple Pasta Salad

Something light for a starch at dinner or for an addition to outdoor fare without a heavy mayo dressing.
Ingredients
- one pound tri-colour pasta spirals shopping list
- one medium red onion julienned shopping list
- 4 large carrots grated shopping list
- 1 cup slice black olives shopping list
- 1/2 cup oil shopping list
- 1 cup white vinegar shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp pepper shopping list
- 1 tsp italian herb mix shopping list
- 1 pkg Good Seasons Italian dressing mix (or fav) shopping list
- optional: other veg or beans when handy shopping list
How to make it
- Prepare pasta per instructions on package, drain and cool under cold water, drain, set aside
- In bowl combine vinegar, water, salt, pepper, dressing blend, herbs.
- into bowl add all veg and toss to coat.
- combine pasta and vinegar/veg mix and toss.
- add oil at end and toss to mix thoroughly.
- Great for making ahead, flavours improve and vinegar mellows.
- keep refrigerated

I use to hate Pasta but recently I have liked it. I guess my taste buds are changing with my age. Your recipe sounds very good.
