This is so simple it is scary. It has a very mild taste, but is a nice change from the meat sauces. I looked at some of the other Red Clam Sauce recipes and it is just a bit different.

Ingredients
  • 1 Can minced clams
  • 3 Cloves garlic
  • 2 Tbsp chopped parsley
  • ½ Onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • Splash White wine (optional)
  • 1 15oz can diced Italian tomatoes
  • Salt & Pepper (to taste)
  • Hot pepper (optional)

Directions
  1. Cook garlic & onion in oil until soft
  2. Add tomatoes, parsley, & wine simmer 40 minutes
  3. Add clams, juice and all simmer 10 minutes more.
  4. I tend to cook it down to reduce liquid to a desired consistency,

This is a keeper... I like both white clam sauce and red.. this is a really good one.. simple.. and great for a mid-week fast meal..
