I adapted this from a recipe on Rachael Ray. Really good beefy sandwich, but to me a cheesesteak MUST have mushrooms, green peppers and onions. So I added them and adjusted some other ingredients. Thanks Rach.

Hello...
I love the way you adapted this recipe...especially the use of 'veggies' and a 'home-made' cheese
sauce made with 'provolone'...it has a nice
light smokey taste...!
GREAT RECIPE !!! A"5" ....!
...Thanks....mjcmcook....

You have a winner with this one. I agree about the green peppers (and I like mushrooms). I got sent to New Jersey for all most 2 years, down the road from Philadelphia, as such I ate a lot of cheese stakes. It is rough to find a good one in Kansas. Thanks for the post.

I just made these and they are really good. Of course I changed things, I cannot help myself. Your favorite bbq sauce instead of A-1 works great. I just used Rachel Ray's beef stock. I didn't have any soup base on hand. They still had alot of flavor. Jane's Krazy Mixed Up Salt is good. I had not used that before. Lot's of pepper is correct. Thank you for the great recipe. L
