I went to a restaurant once and they had a huge jug on the bar with pineapple and vodka in it to make Martinis with....Well, it was so good that I asked how to make it at home.. It's fantastic.

Well, this recipe suits me to perfection. My friends pineapple and vodka pair up to create the perfect drink. The hardest part will the two week wait...but I have other 'friends' to keep me company in the interim. Hehehe... ;-)
Thanks, Corrine - you are the woman!

I cut up a fresh pineapple and put it in a 1/2 gallon jar.. poured in a bottle of stoli... it will be ready on my wife's birthday, june 22. i certainly hope she doesn't drink it all! i'll let you know how it turned out and what her remarks were. this should be fun. oh yeah.. i put it on teh bottom shelf of the fridge... in the back so she will never see it, is this the right thing to do or should it be not refrigerated?

Ok.. yesterday was her birthday.. i got down and dug the pineapple martinis out from the depths of the fridge. i unscrewed the lid and poured some of the highly scented vodka into a shaker filled with ice.. gave it a good shake and poured it into a chilled martini glass. garnished with her favorite swizle pierced pineapple chunks from the jar and presto! a wonderful birthday celebretion ensued. the two of us drank the whole jar full and were very happy. it was a resounding success, and she had a very happy birthday! thanks again for the recipe. it will become a birthday tradition around my house. oh yeah.. the pineapple is quite tasty too.

I had these at a bar in Madison and they were outstanding! They did not refrigerate, but kept them right in a pretty glass jar with a spout on the bottom. It was served in a chilled martini glass with a maraschino cherry in the bottom. FYI the pineapple chunks are awesome as appetizers. Put out little bowls of sour cream and brown sugar. Skewer a cube and dip it first in the sour cream and then the sugar--Yummmmmm!
