How to make it

  • Put sugar and lime juice into pitcher and stir until sugar disolves
  • gently stir in soda
  • pour over ice in tall glasses

    A wonderful, basic recipe...made some of this, today, since I knew it'd be finished off quick enough so the soda didn't go "flat". Another hint, toss in a package of frozen raspberries at serving...acts as ice cubes as well as adding a great color and flavor! :)

    I adore limeade. When I was pregnant with my youngest (MANY years ago!) I craved limeade. I had limeade EVERY evening! When I was a kid, they made fresh limeade at the lunch counter at the 5 & 10 cent store in downtown Pittsburgh. It was such a treat! Still is. Thanks for the walk(s) down memory lane.
