  • Put all ingredients in crockpot over medium to high heat and cook until all liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally
  • (Can also be prepared on stovetop or in oven)

    Sounds wonderful! I've never had pilaf with raisins before and likely never will. I'm not a raisins fan at all. Ours has always been made this way or similarly (onions, garlic, broth, butter) and the upscale restaurants serve it like that too.

    The usual rice pilaf recipe that I've tasted have variety kinds of nuts and raisins in it. It gives the rice pilaf a very rich taste and are usually serve on special ocassions.

    usually between one and two hours - I just keep my eye on it and stir it occasionally - yes can also be made in the oven!

    This is a very similar recipe to my dear mother in law. Hers was baked 325 for 1 and 1/2 hr. We called it easy rice. At was a big family favorite. I will try it in the crock pot. About how long do you think it would take???
