Lovely Lemon Mousse Recipe

How to make it

  • HEAT oven to 350 degrees
  • In Small bowl
  • COMBINE Graham Cracker Crumbs, Sugar and melted Butter
  • RESERVE 1/2 cup Crumbs mixture
  • PRESS remaining Crumbs into bottom of 8 or 9 inch spring form pan or pie dish
  • BAKE at 350 degrees for 10 minutes
  • COOL, Completely
  • ****************************************************************************************
  • In small saucepan,
  • BEAT Egg Yolks slightly--ADD Milk
  • COOK over medium heat until Thick - Stirring CONSTANTLY !
  • REMOVE from heat
  • STIR in Lemon Peel
  • In large bowl, GENTLY FOLD Egg Yolk mixture into FROSTING
  • In medium bowl, BEAT Egg Whites until they form STIFF Peaks
  • GENTLY FOLD Egg Whites and Whipped Cream into Frosting
  • CAREFULLY spoon Filling into Cooled Crust
  • SPRINKLE with reserved Crumbs
  • COVER and FREEZE at least 8 hours
  • Let SOFTEN in refrigerator 1 hour before serving
  • May decorate top of Mousse with Curled Lemon Slices
