Enchilada Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

2 Tbls. butter or bacon grease

2 Tbls. flour

1 garlic clove, minced

1/4 C. chili powder

1 tsp. ground cumin

2 C. broth (beef, chicken, or vegatable)

fresh ground black pepper

Directions

Melt butter with garlic in small sauce pan

Stir in flour to make a light roux

Add chili powder and cumin

Slowly add broth, stirring constantly

Add pepper, lower heat and simmer 20 minutes.
