Fried Sweet And Sour Potatoes Recipe
I have no idea how long I have had this recipe, many years. We like it and I hope you guys, do to.

Ingredients
  • 4 strips bacon
  • bacon drippings or small amount of oil
  • 1/4 cup onion,finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled, washed and diced
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup wine vinegar

Directions
  1. Fry bacon until crisp. Set aside. Add potatoes to drippings or oil. Cook about 20 minutes.
  2. Add onions, sugar,salt and water and simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and pour vinegar over potatoes.
  4. Cover and let stand for 15 minutes.
  5. Crumble bacon and add to potato mixture.
  6. Reheat until hot to serve or this may be served as a cold dish.
  7. This is best when made several hours ahead of time so flavors can mingle.

Teresa, this was perfect with my grilled pork roast. I made this yesterday, no left overs. Tom has suggested I try adding a cup of saurkraut next time. Bohemians!
