This cake was my children's favorite when they were growing up. I still like to serve it in contrast to chocolate desserts when I entertain. It is easy and rich and super MOIST.

My mom used to make this cake when I was a little girl and I always loved it. I decided to make it for my kids today, but couldn't find the recipe so was glad to see it posted here. Thank you!
NOTE: Something my mom used to use for alternate ingredients was to use a regular yellow cake mix if she didn't have a lemon cake. She'd also make this with orange jello and orange juice. Same great cake!
