Luscious Lemon Jello Cake Recipe

This cake was my children's favorite when they were growing up. I still like to serve it in contrast to chocolate desserts when I entertain. It is easy and rich and super MOIST.

Ingredients
- 1 box lemon cake (supreme)
- 1 box jello (small lemon)
- 4 eggs
- 3/4 cup oil
- 1 cup hot water for the jello
- 1 1/2 cup powered sugar
- 6 Tbsp. lemon juice
Directions
- Dissolve the jellow in the 1 cup hot water. Let this cool till it STARTS to gel.
- Mix the cake mix and 4 eggs and oil.
- Stir the jello into the cake batter.
- Pour into a 9 x 13 pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees until done.
- Topping: While the cake is still hot make holes on the top with a toothpick. Pour over the mixture of the powered sugar and the lemon juice. Let cake cool.

My mom used to make this cake when I was a little girl and I always loved it. I decided to make it for my kids today, but couldn't find the recipe so was glad to see it posted here. Thank you!
NOTE: Something my mom used to use for alternate ingredients was to use a regular yellow cake mix if she didn't have a lemon cake. She'd also make this with orange jello and orange juice. Same great cake!
